We are April, Lincoln, and Grace and we are the founders of Big Dog Little Dog - Yoga with your child.

We've been working together on building this unique curriculum for parents and children since 2014.

April has a PhD in dance and has been teaching yoga over 20 years. She is a recognised Senior Teacher by Yoga Alliance. Before Big Dog Little Dog she used to lecture in Universities and in a former life taught primary school children.

Adele teaches many groups of students from pregnancy, children, teens and adults, as well as therapeutic yoga. ​ Adele believes that yoga done with a clear intention and open heart is the most advanced form. You’ll find Adele’s teaching powerful, uplifting and always fun!
Breezy is from the Dominican Republic and, at the moment, lives in Los Angeles, California. She has been practicing Yoga since 2000. In 2014 she became a Yoga instructor and in 2017 obtained a certificate to teach kids. She has a PhD in Astrophysics, and is passionate about the environment. Breezy believes Yoga gives us tools that support a healthy body and mind and that if we are in touch with these tools from an early age, we learn to connect with ourselves and with everyone around us.
Carly is one of BDLD's Senior Teachers and a BDLD Teacher Trainer. She runs workshops in the Berkshire area and are taught in collaboration with her daughter Rosa. Carly also teaches Ashtanga and Yin yoga. She is passionate about yoga and believes that practising regularly can lead to subtle, positive changes in our everyday Carly’s teaching style is both gentle and caring, while encouraging independence so a self practice can naturally develop.
Jitka leads BDLD workshops alongside her daughter Johanna. Jitka teaches with both passion and compassion. She has studied yoga for many years and so her teaching of Big Dog Little Dog comes from an informed place which is grounded in much personal practice. Jitka is full of encouragement and support for her students which makes it very easy to gain a love for this parent/child practice.
Jo teaches fortnightly BDLD Level 1 workshops in Buckinghamshire. She is a BWY qualified teacher and with three children of her own knows how to teach with compassion and enthusiasm.
Promoting physical and mental wellbeing has been constant theme in Jo's twenty-year career as a Chartered physiotherapist, and she has recently developed a strong professional interest in yoga as therapy. ​ A mother to four young children, Jo is keen to help other parents connect with their children whilst exercising, learning, playing, having fun and resting.
Katharine also has a qualification to teach Ashtanga yoga to adults from Ryan Spielman and has done a Yin yoga teacher training intensive with April Nunes Tucker. Katharine believes that although yoga requires discipline and dedication it also requires great compassion and an open mind. What she loves about yoga is that it is not just a type of exercise (of course it does exercise your body) and in fact it can change your body, but it is part of a much deeper journey. Natalie teaches BDLD workshops in the Hertfordshire area of the UK with her son Henry. Natalie also teaches Ashtanga and Yin yoga. She is light and bubbly and gives fully of herself in her teaching. Natalie believes that if you can teach your child skills to manage their future stresses and emotions in a natural and authentic way then children and their parents benefit deeply.
Nicky has been practicing yoga for about 15 years, complementing her work as a freelance dancer which then developed into teaching movement in a special needs environment. Having discovered the BDLD workshops for her own family, Nicky was really keen to train to teach BDLD and now includes many elements of the yoga work in her dance sessions. Nicky is very excited to be launching her BDLD yoga classes in St Albans so that other children and their families can have the enjoyment that she has had.
Niki has been teaching yoga to children since 2014. She brings calm and love into her whole approach where every student feels valued and accepted. Gentle and kind, Niki also teaches Hatha and Yin yoga and offers Big Dog Little Dog workshops in the Hertfordshire area. She believes in strengthening confidence in children and in the importance of building trust between children and their parents. Niki's teachings cultivate these values with joy and ease.
Sally teaches BDLD Sally is the kind of teacher that brings humour, respect and listening skills to every class. Humour is medicine in itself,children thrive on it and adults sometimes need reminding. She teaches with respect for each individual -- where they are that day. Listening with ears and heart...
Saskia is mother to a 7 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. She combines working as a freelance graphic designer with teaching children's yoga and BDLD yoga. She also practices Ashtanga yoga. Saskia is based in Surrey and looks forward to being able to offer those parents in her local area the unique experience that is Big Dog Little Dog.
Vicki is a keen runner who was originally attracted to yoga for fitness and to improve her flexibility. She quickly learned that yoga can bring equanimity of mind as well as a release for tight hamstrings! As well as being a BDLD teacher, Vicki teaches a dynamic style of Hatha yoga that is informed, creative and playful. She places a strong emphasis on correct alignment and personal assists to help each student get the most out of each session.
